Get to know me

I am Abbie Miller, an Australian photographer with an Advanced Diploma in Photography and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tasmania.

I spent the first decade of my career photographing weddings, alongside commercial work across local government, planning, real estate and travel. I then stepped away from professional photography to raise my family, although the camera was never particularly far away.

Returning to professional work has given me the opportunity to photograph some of Australia’s most beautiful historic travel destinations and the stories held within them, documenting not only the buildings themselves, but the details, craftsmanship and character that give them a sense of place. Photography offers a way to record these places as they are now, whilst preserving something of their history for the future.

A Miller’s Tale brings that work together, photography grounded in place, history and the stories our buildings have to tell.
